Description The Filipino Web Channel (TFWC) seeks to advance the profile of the Filipino diasporas and their organizations in the Philippines and in adopted countries like Canada and the United States where news coverages of significant Filipino accomplishments are wanting. The Filipino Web Channel is the online news outlet and flagship channel of Romar Media Canada network based in Toronto, Canada. It is owned, published, and edited by multimedia journalist Romy Marquez, former foreign correspondent, editor, reporter, videographer, blogger, and previously, editor and publisher of three community newspapers in California. Prior to his stint as a member of the foreign press corps in Manila (on behalf of the Asahi Shimbun and Deutsche Presse-Agentur), Marquez was a staff reporter at The Times Journal and earlier on, at The Manila Chronicle. He also wrote as a business reporter for The Manila Bulletin.
